Our client is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead and deliver roadway, highway, traffic, and transportation infrastructure projects throughout Ohio. This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering consulting firm known for its collaborative culture, strong transportation practice, and commitment to delivering impactful infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation engineering projects from planning and design through construction support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Lead project teams, coordinate resources, and oversee project schedules and budgets.
  • Mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and contract documents.
  • Coordinate with ODOT, local agencies, municipalities, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
  • Identify opportunities for project growth and long-term client partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain Ohio licensure through reciprocity.
  • 8+ years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Proven project management experience leading roadway, highway, traffic, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong familiarity with ODOT standards, policies, and project delivery processes.
  • Experience managing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, or similar transportation design software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • ODOT roadway and transportation improvement projects.
  • Corridor studies, intersection improvements, and traffic engineering projects.
  • Design-build or alternative delivery project experience.
  • Municipal transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Business development and client relationship management responsibilities.
