LVI Associates is partnering with a leading national design-build contractor to identify experienced Traveling Superintendents for mission critical and industrial construction projects across the United States.

The Role

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful project outcomes from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong field leadership and effectively manage site teams and subcontractors.
  • Participate in project handoff and preconstruction meetings to establish execution strategies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and maintain construction schedules, manpower plans, and equipment requirements.
  • Oversee all field operations to ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and maintain progress toward key project milestones.
  • Assist with project cost tracking and reporting to support profitability goals.
  • Review and approve field purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and project documentation.
  • Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and schedule impacts.
  • Complete daily reports detailing site activities, safety observations, client interactions, and project updates.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all phases of construction.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-25+ years of experience serving as a Lead Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, mission critical, or data center construction projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction management software, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands associated with active construction sites, including extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting where necessary.
