Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Team Lead to help grow and lead our municipal infrastructure practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. This leadership role is ideal for a technically strong engineer and proven project manager who is passionate about developing people, expanding client relationships, and delivering impactful water and wastewater projects throughout Southern Nevada and the Southwest.
The Team Lead will provide both technical and operational leadership, overseeing project delivery, mentoring engineering staff, managing key client relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Practice Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on technical excellence and client service.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
- Support strategic planning and growth objectives for the Las Vegas water/wastewater practice.
- Drive business development efforts and expand relationships with municipal clients, water districts, and utility agencies.
Client & Project Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients.
- Lead project pursuits, interviews, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Manage multiple water and wastewater infrastructure projects simultaneously.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and deliverable quality.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to successfully execute complex infrastructure projects.
Technical Oversight
- Provide senior-level technical leadership for water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and infrastructure projects.
- Review engineering reports, calculations, plans, specifications, and technical deliverables.
- Guide project teams through planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction phases.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting.
- Demonstrated experience managing municipal infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience leading teams, supervising staff, or managing a discipline group.
- Strong client management and business development experience.
- Proven ability to manage project financials and resource planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.

- Pump stations and lift stations.
- Water distribution and transmission systems.
- Wastewater collection systems.
- Capital Improvement Programs (CIPs).
- Regional water authority or municipal utility projects.
- Design-build and alternative delivery projects.
- Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), City of Las Vegas, Clark County Water Reclamation District, Henderson, or North Las Vegas project experience.
