International Women's Day 2019

On International Women's Day 2019, we celebrated the incredible achievements of women around the world, in business and beyond. The theme of the day was #BalanceforBetter, as we can all benefit from better gender balance in the boardroom, in government, and in our local communities. Diversity reduces risk and increases financial performance.

Coffee Q&A Panel

We held a panel Q&A/discussion hosted by Oliver Cooke, Managing Director, Phaidon &Kareem Bakr, Managing Director, Phaidon International. Our employees had the chance to be part of the conversation around IWD and #Balanceforbetterโ€“ ask their questions, pick up useful insights and get to know some of the successful women and men of Selby Jennings.

โ€‹Lets get quizzical

Throughout the week leading up to the day, we showcased LVI Associates employees and what IWD means to them across Instagram, LinkedIn and emails. We had some fun with our employees by hosting a quiz on their knowledge of our IWD champion.

The first to get 100% in each office won a special prize and our eternal admiration!

โ€‹Tea & Talk

โ€‹On the actual day, March 8th, we ran a special edition of Tea and Talk to engage our staff with all things #BalanceforBetter. Collectively, our panel had a wealth of experience from the recruitment industry. Our leaders shared their personal challenges and experiences, how they think the industry has changed to be more gender balanced in recent years, and what we can all do to drive diversity and inclusion.

Here's a glimpse at how the session went:
