Job Title: Control Engineer
Location: Nashville with up to 40% travel required
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Control Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing routine HMI programming assignments, maintaining and modifying graphic libraries, and ensuring project completion according to drawings, specifications, and PLC logic. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be highly motivated, and possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine HMI programming assignments.
- Complete projects following project drawings, specifications, and PLC logic.
- Maintain and modify graphic libraries, test and document modifications, and write operator instructions.
- Review project objectives and details with senior staff for clarity.
- Use judgement to select among authorised procedures and seek guidance when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA system programming.
- Experience developing HMI programs for SCADA/Telemetry projects of varying sizes.
- Proficiency with industry-standard programming software such as:
- Aveva System Platform/Citect SCADA
- Rockwell FactoryTalk View
- GE iFix
- Trihedral VTScada
- Experience with industrial communication networks.
- Familiarity with object-based control system design methods.
- Capability to troubleshoot onsite with limited support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective communication with clients and project teams.
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel up to 40% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the water and wastewater industry.
- Knowledge of industrial control network and panel design.
- Ability to learn new software independently using existing HMI programming knowledge.
- Passion for collaborating with other disciplines to develop innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
