Summary: My client, is looking Director of Origination to join their Distributed Generation team in Houston, Texas. As the Director of Origination, the ideal candidate will be focused on seizing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) opportunities in the renewable energy sector. With 290MW of operating projects across 20+ states, this individual will lead ongoing efforts to close new renewable energy power purchase transactions across North America each year.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all PPA sourcing, structuring, and negotiation efforts.
- Work closely with Executive Leadership to shape commercial strategy.
- Manage Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) sales and trading initiatives.
- Provide necessary commercial support for tax equity, cash equity, and M&A transactions.
- Oversee the RFP bid and response process.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including but not limited to project development, finance to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Science or related field.
- Ideally, 10+ years in the renewable energy space, with a preference for Distributed Generation experience.
- Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects across different markets.
- Ability to travel as needed.
