Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the refinery, petrochemical, or oil and gas industry. As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our client's organization's operations, focusing on optimizing processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing processes and systems within the refinery facility to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and productivity.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support in troubleshooting and resolving complex process issues, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Design and Implementation: Lead or contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new processes, technologies, or modifications to existing systems to enhance performance and meet regulatory requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analysis tools to monitor process performance, generate reports, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Collaborate with engineering teams to manage projects related to process enhancements, expansions, or upgrades within specified timelines and budgets.
- Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and provide guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on new processes, technologies, and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of processes and changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the refinery, petrochemical, or oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of refinery processes, petrochemical operations, and oil and gas production.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor younger engineers, lead projects, analyze complex problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Deep understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
