A global renewable developer and owner/operator is looking to bring on a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to join the team! Everyone makes an impact every single day within their sub-groups and teams that support the global organization and mission - making our future safer and more sustainable. This position will support the Transmission & Interconnection group, supporting wind, solar, and battery storage projects across the US.
The Senior Transmission Planning Engineer will be responsible for:
- Performing power system studies (short circuit, load flow, harmonics, arc flash, etc.)
- Performing interconnection studies (feasibility, system impact, etc.) to ensure compliance with interconnection requirements and NERC standards
- Interface with various customers
- Participate in ISO/RTO stakeholder forums
The Senior Transmission Planning Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)
- 3+ years of Transmission Planning/Interconnection experience
- Expertise in PSSE, TARA, PSCAD, PowerWorld, etc.
