A leading construction firm in Japan is looking for an experienced Construction Manager / Project Manager to lead their building works in Kenya. The company has an exciting non-residential building project in the country, and it is an exciting opportunity for you to utilize your skills and gain international exposure.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the construction of around 10+ building structures at a container terminal, with the target of supervising and scheduling of the overall time line of the project and make sure to optimize maximum output within the dedicated time for the tasks.
Main Role:
- Lead and oversee building construction execution work on site according to project scheduling
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements.
- Hiring, training, and supervising construction personnel.
- Implementing quality control measures to ensure that work meets industry standards and specifications
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with proper HSE standards on the site and report to management about the construction progress.
Requirements:
- Architecture background, worked for Japanese general contractor
- Experience in Commercial Building Constructions (Non-residential)
- Experience participating in overseas mega infrastructure construction projects in the past
Construction management, Design management, QAQC, Material, Foundations, Electrical and Drainage work check etc. - Able to speak and write fluent Japanese and English
