Key Responsibilities:
- Manage diverse projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, urban/downtown, and industrial development.
- Evaluate, select, and engineer civil systems for projects.
- Develop designs using sketches, electronic models, and visual formats.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in client meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating.
- Support developing engineers and assist senior engineers with project management.
- Lead preparation and coordination of project specifications and construction documents.
- Utilize advanced techniques for analyzing specialized civil elements.
- Conduct quality assurance and control, and contribute to constructability reviews.
- Assist in developing new standards, efficiencies, and specifications for the civil group.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Knowledge of civil engineering codes and design requirements in the local market.
- Understanding of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of civil systems, materials, and industry standards.
- Effective communication with clients and reviewing agencies.
- Thorough understanding of task assignment, budgeting, and efficient resource use.
- Ability to check others' work for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaboration in a project team setting and engagement in creative and critical thought.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software, including AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, WaterCAD, and PondPack (among others).
