Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Delta V Control Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain advanced process control systems using Delta V Distributed Control System (DCS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process automation and control, with expertise in Delta V programming and configuration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse industries, contributing to the optimisation of complex processes and driving innovation in automation technology.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Delta V control strategies to optimise process performance and ensure operational efficiency.
- Configure and program Delta V DCS systems according to project requirements, including loop tuning, alarm management, and sequence programming.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Delta V systems with existing process control infrastructure and equipment.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Delta V control systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams on Delta V system operation and troubleshooting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Delta V technology, and incorporate best practices into engineering designs and implementations.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and documentation activities, ensuring adherence to project time-lines and budgets.
- Maintain documentation of Delta V system configurations, programming logic, and system modifications for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process control engineering, with a focus on Delta V DCS systems.
- Proficiency in Delta V programming languages, including Function Block Diagrams (FBD) and Sequential Function Charts (SFC).
- Strong understanding of process control fundamentals, including PID control, loop tuning, and process optimisation techniques.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex process control issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to project deadlines and priorities.
