This is an ongoing development opportunity to take on a large backlog of forensic projects whilst being trained and upskilled into the next branch manager and partner for the firm. As a the next partner and Forensic Structural Engineer you will be immediately responsible for overseeing complex structural investigation projects related to weather damage and construction defects. You'll have the unique opportunity to work remotely and travel to sites throughout South Carolina to work on diverse residential and commercial projects. You will be put on a path to success from day 1 and eventually play a key part in the overall growth of the firm throughout the southeast.

Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic investigations into structural failures, including fire, flood, and impact damage and construction defect.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings.
- Work closely with clients to develop effective remediation strategies.
- Undertake site visits and inspections to identify potential issues and hazards.
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant experience with proven growth
- Professional Engineer in North Carolina
- Experience investigating and diagnosing building failures related to construction defects or catastrophic events.
- Litigation/ forensics experience and attorney/insurance client relationships (desirable not required)
