Position Overview: As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of their underground wet utilities operations, with a focus on water, sewer, and storm systems. You will lead a dedicated team, manage projects efficiently, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of underground wet utilities projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Manage and mentor a team of supervisors, foremen, and field crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure project specifications are understood and executed effectively.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground wet utilities construction, with a focus on water, sewer, and storm systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes governing underground utility construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
