At this time, they are seeking a Principal Environmental Management Consultant, specializing in Approvals and Impact Assessment, to join their dynamic team based in Perth.
About the Role:
As a Principal Environmental Consultant, your expertise in environmental approvals and impact assessments will guide the successful delivery of projects. You will play a key role in developing and implementing environmental management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and achieving sustainable outcomes. This position involves close collaboration with clients, government bodies, and internal teams to manage and mitigate environmental impacts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and management of environmental impact assessments, approvals processes, and related documentation for a diverse range of projects.
- Provide strategic environmental consulting advice to clients, helping them navigate complex regulatory landscapes and achieve their project objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project success.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
- Stay abreast of changes in environmental legislation and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on environmental approvals and impact assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver tailored, high-quality environmental solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of Australian environmental legislation and guidelines, particularly as they apply to the state of Western Australia.
- Leadership qualities, with experience in mentoring staff and leading teams to achieve outstanding results.
