A company specializing in engineering and design is seeking a Technical Manager to join their Water/Wastewater group in multiple locations across PA and NJ (Hybrid).

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify optimal solutions for wastewater treatment projects.
- Create detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for wastewater treatment facilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, civil engineers, and project managers.
- Utilize modeling software to simulate and optimize wastewater treatment processes.
- Select appropriate technologies for wastewater treatment based on project needs.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases of wastewater treatment projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting wastewater treatment design.
- Conduct periodic site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory authorities, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and mentor a team of design engineers within a Design Team.
- Scope capital projects from concept to construction, forecasting timelines and meeting project deadlines.
- Address design issues considering site constraints, regulations, budgets, and timelines.
- Oversee preparation of construction specifications, public bid documents, and cost estimates for municipal and public sector clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering or civil engineering. PE license required.
- 8+ years of experience in civil/environmental engineering with a focus on wastewater treatment design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred or equivalent software knowledge.
- Experience managing and supervising staff, ensuring project scope, schedule, quality, and budget adherence.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively.
