Electrical Engineer - Remote
Position Overview
We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic, fast-paced, multidisciplinary team. This role centers on designing electrical systems for new construction, expansions, and renovation projects. You'll provide technical leadership in developing construction documents, specifications, system assessments, and master planning.
You'll collaborate with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve electrical design challenges and build strong working relationships. Our projects span a variety of sectors including Data Centers, Higher Education, Commercial, Healthcare, and Science & Technology. We're seeking a motivated engineer eager to contribute to our growing firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems based on project scope and client RFPs
- Lead engineering design, evaluation, and planning across diverse market sectors
- Conduct surveys and document existing electrical infrastructure
- Perform system calculations and select appropriate equipment
- Draft and edit technical specifications
- Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and technical studies
- Research and ensure code compliance
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer license strongly preferred
- LEED certification or experience is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in designing power distribution, fire alarm, data/communication, lighting, and emergency power systems
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a team
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with lighting design software (Visual) is a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
