Pre-K12 Project Architect

A well-respected, employee-owned architecture firm is growing their team and seeking a Project Architect to join its growing Sacramento office.

This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful Pre-K-12 educational projects, collaborating with a team known for its strong culture, technical excellence, and commitment to improving communities through design. The firm provides a flexible hybrid schedule, long-term career growth, and a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development and delivery of Pre-K-12 projects from design through construction administration
  • Produce and coordinate construction documents, specifications, and consultant drawings
  • Ensure projects meet applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and educational facility standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases
  • Participate in client meetings and support project planning, coordination, and execution
  • Assist with construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of architectural experience
  • Experience working on K-12, higher education, civic, or other institutional projects preferred
  • Strong technical and construction document expertise
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Ability to coordinate consultants and manage multiple project responsibilities
  • Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
