Overview
A well-established general contractor specializing in federal construction is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities on government construction projects. This individual will be responsible for implementing the project's quality control program, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and leading all quality-related inspections and documentation efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage the project's Construction Quality Control Plan.
- Lead and coordinate the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control process.
- Schedule and conduct preparatory, initial, follow-up, and final inspections.
- Facilitate quality control meetings with project stakeholders.
- Review and maintain daily quality control reports and project documentation.
- Track and review submittals for compliance with contract requirements.
- Maintain and monitor as-built documentation.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve quality deficiencies.
- Exercise stop-work authority when necessary to ensure contractual compliance.
- Ensure all quality records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience serving as the designated Quality Control Manager on at least two federal construction projects from award through closeout.
- Strong knowledge of USACE Three-Phase Quality Control procedures.
- Experience working with RMS 3.0.
- Understanding of construction specifications, quality standards, and subcontractor coordination.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments.

- Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC)
- Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

Travel & Relocation
- Travel is required.
- Per diem provided based on GSA rates for project location.
- Additional compensation provided for traveling assignments.
- Monthly travel-home allowance available.
- Additional travel-related time off provided.
- Relocation assistance may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
