Overview:
A well-established, employee-owned architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Senior Architect / Project Manager to join its team in Albuquerque. This leadership role involves managing architectural projects from concept through completion, including client engagement, design oversight, documentation, and construction administration. The ideal candidate will bring a decade or more of experience in sectors such as public infrastructure, education, industrial, or commercial development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and technical development of architectural projects across various building types.
- Manage project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, codes, and quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor multidisciplinary teams, coordinating closely with project stakeholders.
- Oversee contract compliance, design revisions, and regulatory adherence.
- Participate in contractor selection and bidding processes.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Provide innovative solutions to design and project challenges.
Key Functions:
- Contribute to securing new projects and expanding client relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for designated practice areas and geographic markets.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and project planning protocols.
- Monitor project performance metrics and financial outcomes.
- Conduct regular project reviews and client satisfaction assessments.
- Guide team assignments and ensure deliverables meet all requirements.

Qualifications:
- Accredited degree in Architecture (required)
- Active architectural license in New Mexico or ability to obtain licensure
- 10+ years of professional experience in architecture
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and construction
- Experience in institutional, commercial, or public sector projects
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with tools like SketchUp is a plus
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage consultant teams and engage with clients and stakeholders
