Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections and condition assessments of existing structures, identifying deterioration, structural issues, and maintenance needs.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including photographic documentation and prioritized repair recommendations.
- Design and engineer structural repair and rehabilitation solutions in compliance with industry standards and codes.
- Collaborate with business development teams to communicate technical findings and support client engagement.
- Review structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents; provide technical oversight throughout project execution.
- Serve as a mentor and peer reviewer, supporting the training and development of junior engineering staff.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
Experience:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years in structural engineering with a focus on concrete construction, repair, and restoration
- Demonstrated experience in forensic investigation and engineering of repair solutions for parking structures and similar facilities.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ACI, IBC, ASTM, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
