Account Executive (Oil and Gas)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop existing customer relationships while ensuring service excellence and achievement of agreed operational and commercial KPIs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within key accounts and new accounts in the oil and gas industry, executing pricing strategies and commercial initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute account plans and deliver against business objectives.
  • Work closely with customers to identify improvement opportunities and implement value-driven projects that enhance plant performance and profitability.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to sales and service personnel within the specialty chemicals environment.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for designated customers and target accounts.
  • Lead business reviews and maintain strong engagement with customer stakeholders across refining and petrochemical operations.
  • Support commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and business expansion initiatives within assigned territories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Maximum 12 years of experience in the refining, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, industrial water treatment, or process chemicals industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing key customer relationships and delivering commercial growth.
  • Strong experience engaging senior stakeholders and leading commercial discussions, including contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and execute value improvement projects that generate measurable operational or financial benefits for customers.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing technical, sales, or customer-facing teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Experience with CRM systems, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with specialty chemicals, refinery chemicals, process treatment programs, or industrial asset protection solutions is highly preferred.
  • Possess a valid drivers license in Singapore.
