A leading general contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of treatment plant, pump station, lift station, and underground utility projects throughout the South Florida market.

Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of water and wastewater construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, inspectors, and owners.
- Track project budgets, costs, schedules, and production quantities.
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
- Support procurement efforts and material purchasing activities.
- Attend project meetings and maintain accurate project records.
- Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or cost impacts.
- Assist with contract administration and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with field superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with municipal owners, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in heavy civil, utility, or water/wastewater construction.
- Experience supporting projects such as:
- Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
- Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
- Pump Stations
- Lift Stations
- Force Mains
- Underground Utilities
- Plant Rehabilitation and Expansion Projects
- Understanding of project management processes, cost tracking, and scheduling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Municipal infrastructure construction.
- Exposure to self-perform civil, concrete, mechanical, or process piping work.
- Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Experience working on projects valued from $5M-$100M+.
