The company works on a diverse mix of residential, commercial, and land development projects and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced surveyors and engineering professionals.
Job Description:
This position is ideal for a survey professional with strong office survey experience who enjoys boundary analysis, map preparation, research, and project coordination. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate survey documents while supporting both office and field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Final Maps, Parcel Maps, Records of Survey, and legal descriptions
- Conduct deed, title, easement, right-of-way, and boundary research
- Perform boundary resolution and calculate property corners
- Prepare topographic survey deliverables and base mapping exhibits
- Support construction staking calculations and survey project execution
- Process and organize incoming field data, notes, photographs, and digital datasets
- Assist with FEMA Elevation Certificates and LOMA applications
- Complete setback and height verification exhibits for city and county approvals
- Coordinate with survey field crews, engineers, project managers, and licensed surveyors
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of office surveying experience
- Strong experience with boundary analysis, legal descriptions, parcel maps, and Records of Survey
- Minimum 5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience
- Knowledge of deeds, easements, dedications, vacations, and right-of-way research
- Experience working with ALTA/NSPS surveys and ACSM standards preferred
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license highly preferred
- Field survey experience or experience collaborating with field crews is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
