An industry-leading global engineering consulting firm with over 7,000 professionals worldwide is seeking a Bridge Engineering Market Lead to drive strategic growth and technical excellence across South Carolina. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced bridge engineering professional to take on a high-impact leadership role, shaping project delivery, business development, and team growth throughout the region.

This team is currently involved in the delivery of a multi-billion-dollar bridge design program, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to contribute to one of the region's most significant transportation infrastructure initiatives while helping expand the firm's bridge presence throughout South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and development of the bridge engineering practice in South Carolina.
  • Serve as a senior project manager and technical lead for complex bridge and transportation projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with SCDOT, local agencies, and key transportation stakeholders.
  • Drive business development efforts, including proposal development, client engagement, and strategic planning.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop bridge engineering professionals.
  • Oversee project delivery, quality control, budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the firm's national network.
  • Support regional and national transportation initiatives while strengthening the firm's market presence throughout South Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; South Carolina PE strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of bridge engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing bridge design, rehabilitation, and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of SCDOT standards, procedures, and project delivery requirements.
  • Proven track record of client management and business development success.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO bridge design specifications and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Established network of transportation and infrastructure contacts within South Carolina preferred.
