A Unique Opportunity for an Electrical Estimator Looking to Grow Beyond Estimating
An established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its preconstruction team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys estimating but is interested in expanding into client relationships, business development, and strategic growth. You'll work directly with company leadership and play a key role in both winning work and helping shape long-term customer partnerships.
Initially, the role will focus primarily on estimating, with increasing exposure to client-facing responsibilities as you develop within the position.

Their project portfolio includes commercial facilities, industrial environments, manufacturing projects, automated distribution centers, and other complex electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Perform takeoffs, review drawings and specifications, and evaluate project scope
- Manage RFIs and coordinate bid submissions
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing
- Support Project Managers during project hand-off to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution
- Participate in job site visits and project reviews to better understand field operations and project delivery
- Attend preconstruction meetings and client discussions alongside company leadership
- Build relationships with general contractors, owners, and industry partners
- Assist with business development initiatives and opportunity tracking
- Contribute to the continued growth of the company's client base and project pipeline
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience
- Experience bidding commercial and/or industrial electrical projects independently
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Experience with ConEst or similar estimating software preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations, clients, and leadership teams
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
