Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer (PE) to lead the planning, design, permitting, and delivery of public infrastructure projects across Florida.
This role combines technical engineering expertise with project management, client engagement, and team leadership. The successful candidate will oversee projects from concept through construction while serving as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering projects from planning through construction.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
- Coordinate permitting activities and regulatory agency approvals.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight and quality control reviews.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Support proposal development and client relationship management.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Education & Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
- 12+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Strong project management and client-facing experience.
- Experience with civil site design, permitting, and project delivery.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
Preferred
- Public-sector infrastructure experience.
- Experience with roadway, utility, stormwater, or municipal projects.
- Civil 3D proficiency.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
