Position Summary
This role is designed for a senior geotechnical professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong technical expertise, and a proven ability to generate and win work. You will take on a leadership position within the Seattle office, contributing at a Principal level with responsibility for business development, project oversight, and team growth.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Office Growth
- Support and help drive the growth of the Seattle office, contributing to strategic direction and expansion
- Take on Principal-level responsibilities with increasing ownership over operations and performance
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers
Business Development & Client Management
- Lead business development efforts, including building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the Seattle and broader Pacific Northwest market
- Support proposal development, negotiations, and project scoping
Project Oversight & Technical Leadership
- Provide senior-level oversight on geotechnical projects, ensuring technical quality and successful delivery
- Guide teams on complex geotechnical analyses and design challenges
- Remain actively involved in project strategy and high-level technical decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong background working on projects within the Seattle / Pacific Northwest region
- Demonstrated experience in business development and client relationship management
- Proven leadership ability with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
