About the Opportunity

LVI Associates is partnering with a leading owner's representative and construction management consultancy that delivers complex mission-critical projects for some of the world's most recognized technology and infrastructure organizations.

Our client is experiencing significant growth across its data center portfolio and is seeking a Construction Manager to support hyperscale and mission-critical developments throughout the United States. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing construction execution, stakeholder coordination, commissioning activities, and project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in data centers, critical facilities, electrical infrastructure, mechanical systems, commissioning, or large-scale commercial construction who are looking to take ownership of high-profile projects and advance their career within the rapidly growing mission-critical sector.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Client Leadership

  • Act as the Owner's Representative and primary point of coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings with owners, design teams, contractors, vendors, and commissioning partners.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
  • Drive issue resolution and maintain project momentum across multiple disciplines.
  • Support contract administration, procurement activities, and change management processes.

Construction Management & Site Oversight

  • Provide field-based oversight throughout construction and commissioning activities.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, construction documentation, and project deliverables.
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, client standards, and industry best practices.
  • Track project risks, manage punch lists, and support turnover and closeout activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure site safety compliance.

Reporting & Communication

  • Deliver regular progress reports to project leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Present project KPIs, schedule updates, cost impacts, risks, and mitigation measures.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Technology

  • Utilize digital construction tools and project management platforms to drive project efficiency.
  • Support innovation initiatives and the adoption of emerging technologies and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project execution and improve delivery outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Education

One of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline

OR

  • Hands-on experience in the installation, testing, commissioning, validation, or troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, or controls systems.

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant construction, commissioning, project management, or critical facilities experience.
  • Experience working on mission-critical projects, data centers, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, or large commercial projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and commissioning processes.
  • Experience acting as an Owner's Representative, Construction Manager, General Contractor representative, or commissioning professional is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with Procore or comparable project management software.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes and critical systems.
  • Knowledge of MOPs (Methods of Procedure), change management, and operational risk management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
  • Ability to work on long-duration project assignments when required.
  • Willingness to relocate temporarily for key project assignments if needed.
