I&C Engineer
Design, analyze, and engineer control systems and instrumentation solutions for industrial and infrastructure facilities.
Perform work requiring the application of engineering principles, industry standards, and technical concepts. This includes reviewing design packages and technical documentation to support the development of project deliverables such as calculations, specifications, drawings, studies, and engineering evaluations.
Prepare, review, and coordinate controls and instrumentation design documentation, including:
- Control block diagrams
- PLC/DCS panel and enclosure layouts
- Interconnection and wiring diagrams
- I/O architecture and termination drawings
- Emergency shutdown and safety circuits
- P&IDs
- Loop diagrams and elementary drawings
Conduct field investigations and site walkdowns to gather design information, evaluate existing systems, and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules for instrumentation and controls work. Coordinate drafting efforts, perform design reviews, prepare technical reports, and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.
Develop instrumentation and controls cost estimates for capital improvement, expansion, and modernization projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and process engineers across multiple project phases.
Evaluate existing operations and proposed system modifications to ensure compliance with engineering standards, applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
