Mechanical Engineer (commercial)
We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a growing, employee-owned engineering consulting firm supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, institutional, and specialty projects. Responsibilities
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for commercial facilities.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Participate in client meetings and project presentations.
- Support construction administration and field observations.
- Ensure projects meet code requirements, budget objectives, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-8 years of consulting engineering experience.
- Commercial building design experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- EIT certification preferred; PE track strongly encouraged.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120k-$130k
- 8% Annual Incentive Plan
- $600/month Vehicle Allowance
- ESOP Contributions averaging 6-8% of base salary
- 401(k) with 50% match on the first 6%
