Mechanical Engineer, Houston
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and technically review mechanical engineering work.
- Guide Engineer 1/11 personnel on standards, methods, and difficult assignments.
- Perform complex designs, calculations, and technical evaluations.
- Support workload prioritization with the Engineering Manager.
- Lead design reviews and ensure technical comments are resolved. Support manufacturing/customer/order issue resolution and root-cause activities.
- Identify opportunities for standardization and technical training.
Decision Authority
- Provide technical direction within delegated authority.
- Accept/return work based on technical completeness and standards compliance.
- Escalate novel, high-risk, or standards-conflict issues to the Manager/SME. Key Interfaces Engineering Manager, SMEs, Engineers, Drafters/Designers, Manufacturing Support, Operations and order- facing functions. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant background.
- Progressive engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership. Strong knowledge of applicable product design practices and engineering controls.
