A long-standing, privately owned consulting engineering firm in Tampa Bay, Florida is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. With over 25 years in business and a recent leadership transition, the firm is entering a new phase of growth-particularly in the federal market, which makes up 80% of their work.
This is a hands-on, in-the-weeds engineering role ideal for someone who wants to grow technically and professionally in a collaborative, flexible environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead and support design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Work on a variety of federal and private sector projects (VA, USPS, GSA, Army Corps, healthcare, multifamily, etc.)
Collaborate with a tight-knit team of 24 engineers and designers
Participate in site visits, client meetings, and construction administration
Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross-disciplinary learning
What They're Looking For:
10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection)
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience in federal projects is a plus
PE license preferred (or FE with plans to pursue PE-firm will cover costs)
U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available at this time)
Strong tenure and well-rounded project experience highly valued

Compensation:
Senior Mechanical Engineer: Up to $120K+, depending on experience
Designer roles: $75K-$90K
