Mechanical Engineer (REMOTE)
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mid-Level HVAC/Plumbing Engineer to support and expand its operations. This role will contribute to daily company activities and provide engineering consulting and design services for a diverse portfolio of clients, including commercial, government, and private sectors, under the supervision of a senior mechanical engineer.

Responsibilities
- Design and draft building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD and/or Revit).
- Perform engineering calculations and system designs in accordance with applicable standards, codes, and company procedures under senior-level guidance.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, civil, and architectural professionals.
- Assist in preparing construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate on system layouts and component detailing to resolve design challenges or installation constraints.
- Develop layouts for equipment, piping, ductwork, and support systems to avoid conflicts with other building systems.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and field investigations as needed, and prepare drawings for system modifications or installations.
- Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and assisting with punch lists.
Requirements
- Associate degree in mechanical design, CAD drafting, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Preferred: Minimum of 4 years of relevant design or engineering experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and/or fire protection system design.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering modeling tools.
- Experience with specialized software (e.g., load calculation or energy modeling tools) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality work.
- Candidate must currently reside in Florida
