THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer, PE with 7-15 years of experience to support transportation projects throughout Florida. This individual will lead drainage design efforts, work directly with clients, support project delivery, and mentor junior staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Engineer of Record for drainage projects
- Lead roadway drainage and stormwater management design efforts
- Prepare and review drainage reports, calculations, plans, and specifications
- Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- Coordinate with roadway, traffic, utilities, and structures teams
- Support project management and client communication
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Participate in quality control reviews
- Assist with proposals and business development efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Florida PE license required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7-15 years of drainage engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, criteria, and procedures
- Experience with transportation drainage and stormwater design
- Proficiency with MicroStation and FDOT design software
- Experience with ICPR, StormWise, SWMM, HEC-RAS, or similar hydraulic modeling software
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Design-Build experience is a plus
