Transportation Planning Project Manager
A nationally recognized engineering, planning, and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Planner (AICP preferred) to join its growing team in the Albany region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional who enjoys working closely with communities, public agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to develop projects that create a lasting impact. The role offers a blend of project management, client interaction, technical planning, and leadership responsibilities, with a clear path for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation, land use, environmental, and community planning projects.
- Coordinate with municipal, county, regional, and state agency clients.
- Prepare and review planning studies, reports, grant applications, and public outreach materials.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and public involvement efforts.
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to team development.
- Support business development initiatives, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
- AICP certification preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience working with public-sector clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
