About the Opportunity
A leading mechanical services contractor in the Raleigh market is seeking an experienced Service Plumber to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and industrial facilities throughout the Triangle area.
This role offers the opportunity to work independently, interact directly with customers, and support a diverse portfolio of projects including manufacturing facilities, healthcare campuses, office buildings, schools, laboratories, and industrial plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot issues involving domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and specialty piping systems.
- Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, pumps, water heaters, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing schematics.
- Complete detailed service reports and work orders using mobile technology.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Identify additional service opportunities and recommend improvements when appropriate.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local plumbing codes and company standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience servicing occupied commercial facilities and industrial environments.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and applicable codes.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
