Practice Leader - Land Development
The stadium you watched a playoff game in. The arena with the screen that broke the internet in Las Vegas. The mixed use district that changed a city skyline. The data center campus that showed up in your feed as a "$2B investment" headline.
Someone had to figure out how those sites actually worked. The ground beneath them, the water off them, the entitlements around them, the logistics of building them.
That is this firm.
Started in the 70s in New Jersey with a simple idea: be the consultant developers call when the site is difficult. Brownfields nobody wanted. Waterfronts nobody could figure out. Urban infill everyone else passed on.
Fifty plus years later that reputation has taken them from one office to a global platform, with teams across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and a permanent home on ENR's list of the top design firms in the world.
They are employee owned, with private equity backing behind the growth. Rare combination. You build real equity, and there is genuine capital behind expansion rather than a five year plan sitting in a drawer.
What They Actually Do
Land development is the core. Around it sits geotechnical, environmental, site civil, survey, traffic, and natural resources, all in house. Which means when a site throws a curveball, the answer is down the hall instead of out to a sub.
Sectors include commercial and mixed use development, industrial and advanced manufacturing, hyperscale and colocation data centers, higher education, healthcare, energy, transportation, and a sports and entertainment practice ranked among the top five globally.
The Michigan Opportunity
This is not a seat on an existing team. This is the flag in the ground.
You will open and build their Michigan land development practice. Client base, team, project pipeline, market strategy, all of it. You will have a national brand, a national client list already active in the Midwest, and technical bench strength on speed dial. What you will not have is a manual telling you how to do it.
If you have spent the last few years thinking you could run your own shop but do not want to give up resources, reputation, or a balance sheet, this is that scenario with the risk stripped out.
