About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized architecture and design firm is seeking a Project Architect to join its Healthcare practice in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled architect who enjoys leading projects through all phases of design and construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex healthcare environments.
The Project Architect will be responsible for:
- Leading healthcare projects from schematic design through construction administration while maintaining design intent, technical quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Developing and coordinating construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings to support successful project delivery.
- Managing construction administration activities, including coordination with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and healthcare-specific requirements.
- Supporting project quality, sustainability goals, material selection, and cost-conscious design solutions.
The Project Architect should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred.
- Licensed Architect with the ability to obtain registration in additional states.
- Experience leading projects through construction documentation and construction administration.
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, specifications, codes, and accessibility requirements.
- Proficiency with industry-standard architectural design and documentation software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare project experience strongly preferred.
- Sustainability credentials or experience implementing sustainable design strategies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Experience mentoring team members and collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams.
