About the Opportunity

An award-winning employee-owned structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to join its growing South Florida team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed PE who enjoys leading complex structural design projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring engineering teams.

The firm works on a diverse portfolio of high-profile and architecturally significant projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, institutional, and speciality markets. This position offers the chance to work on technically challenging structures while playing a key role in project delivery and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through construction administration.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate the efforts of engineers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Oversee structural design and analysis for a variety of building types and construction materials.
  • Review calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical deliverable.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
  • Coordinate with internal and external multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 6-10 years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
  • Proven project management experience within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design codes, and construction practices.
  • Experience managing client relationships and project financial performance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be based in or near Miami, Florida.
