Project Manager - Water/wastewater

I'm currently working on a Project Manager opportunity with a well-established consulting engineering firm. The role can be shaped around either a strong technical engineer or an experienced project manager, depending on your background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects from concept through construction.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations across multiple projects.
  • Serve as a key client contact and build long-term relationships with municipal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes, technical reviews, and project deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to project teams.
  • Support business development efforts, proposals, and client growth initiatives.
  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and construction-phase services.

Project Experience May Include

  • Water distribution and storage systems
  • Wastewater collection and conveyance systems
  • Water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Pump stations and hydraulic infrastructure
  • Utility master planning and asset management
  • Hydraulic modeling, resiliency, and system improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • PE license (or ability to obtain).
  • 6+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
  • Experience leading project delivery and coordinating engineering teams.
  • Strong communication, client management, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with municipal infrastructure and multidisciplinary project delivery.
