Project Manager - Water/wastewater
I'm currently working on a Project Manager opportunity with a well-established consulting engineering firm. The role can be shaped around either a strong technical engineer or an experienced project manager, depending on your background.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects from concept through construction.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations across multiple projects.
- Serve as a key client contact and build long-term relationships with municipal stakeholders.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Oversee QA/QC processes, technical reviews, and project deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to project teams.
- Support business development efforts, proposals, and client growth initiatives.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and construction-phase services.
Project Experience May Include
- Water distribution and storage systems
- Wastewater collection and conveyance systems
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Pump stations and hydraulic infrastructure
- Utility master planning and asset management
- Hydraulic modeling, resiliency, and system improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- PE license (or ability to obtain).
- 6+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
- Experience leading project delivery and coordinating engineering teams.
- Strong communication, client management, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with municipal infrastructure and multidisciplinary project delivery.
