Role Overview
The Project Manager oversees all phases of BAS and controls projects, collaborating with clients, designers, contractors, and internal teams. Responsibilities include planning, execution, budgeting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Manage routine BAS/control projects from kickoff to closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, QA/QC, and testing phases
- Lead internal and external meetings, ensure documentation and compliance
Financial Oversight
- Monitor budgets, profitability, and billing
- Manage change orders and mitigate financial risks
- Support cost scheduling and client invoicing
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain and grow client relationships
- Support proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts
- Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication
Administrative Duties
- Provide daily reporting and documentation
- Manage contracts, time tracking, and internal reports
- Support departmental goals and project deliverables
Position Requirements
Intermediate proficiency required in the following areas:
- Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore)
- Open-source protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP)
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging tech to optimize workflows
- Effective remote work habits: communication, motivation, and focus
- Adherence to safety protocols and site requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication (technical and non-technical)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Time management under pressure and tight deadlines
- Planning and delegation skills
- Multitasking and task prioritization
Physical Demands
- Frequent stationary work and movement through office/facility environments
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 25 lbs

Travel Requirements
- Approx. 20% travel across the U.S.
- REAL ID or valid passport required for domestic air travel
- Travel includes client sites, internal meetings, conferences, and business errands
Education & Experience
- B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent in-field construction experience
OR two additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree - Minimum 5 years in BAS/controls, with at least 2 years in project management
