The Role
A senior transportation engineering role for a consulting engineer who enjoys owning projects from planning through construction while building client relationships. You'll partner with local office leadership and a multidisciplinary team, play an active part in winning new work, and mentor early-career designers as the practice continues to grow in the region.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior technical lead on a portfolio of local agency and state transportation projects
- Contribute to business development and support proposal and marketing pursuits
- Estimate and budget labor hours, review job costing reports, and take corrective action as needed
- Establish and maintain client relationships and ensure client objectives are met
- Mentor young design professionals
- Participate in professional organizations and industry functions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license in Washington and/or Oregon
- 8+ years as a consulting engineer providing design and project management for local agency or state transportation projects
- Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards and environmental constraints
- Proven history of meeting project timelines and budgets
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with local municipalities and utilities
- Familiarity with local code requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, HydroCAD, and WWHM
- Background in roundabouts, signalized intersections, corridor, and trail projects
- Established relationships with Southwest Washington municipalities

Compensation
- $120,000 to $145,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus and sign-on bonus
