Senior Controls Engineer

Senior Control Systems Engineer

Our client is a well-established industrial automation and systems integration company supporting projects across manufacturing, process industries, water/wastewater, life sciences, semiconductor, food & beverage, and industrial facilities. They deliver engineering services covering control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, telemetry, robotics, and process automation.

This position offers involvement throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and development through commissioning and client support.

Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems for a variety of customer applications
* Configure and program PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial communication systems
* Assist with instrumentation selection, integration, testing, and calibration

* Prepare technical documentation, engineering deliverables, and project submittals
* Support hardware design, procurement, and system assembly activities
* Participate in FATs, site startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
* Manage smaller projects or lead technical portions of larger projects
* Maintain regular communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
* Track project schedules, budgets, and assigned deliverables
* Provide field support during installation and commissioning activities as required

Requirements:

* 2-7 years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or systems integration
* Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, and telemetry systems
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings, control panel layouts, and P&IDs
* Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable working directly with customers and multidisciplinary project teams
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred
* Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
