A growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of projects across commercial, multifamily, higher education, K-12, municipal, healthcare, and life sciences markets. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for...
- Developing electrical system designs from concept through construction with minimal oversight
- Preparing construction documents for new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects
- Designing power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems
- Producing and coordinating engineering documentation using Revit
- Reviewing and preparing markups for production staff and project team members
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable building, energy, and electrical codes
- Supporting project execution through construction administration and implementation activities
- Applying sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions
- Contributing to the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
The Senior Electrical Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience designing electrical systems for building projects
- Strong knowledge of power, lighting, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems
- Experience with new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects
- Proficiency with Revit and electrical construction documentation
- Working knowledge of applicable building and energy codes and standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience across commercial, healthcare, higher education, municipal, life sciences, or multifamily projects
- Experience implementing sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies
- Construction administration and field experience
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and designers
