Senior Electrical Engineer | Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL (Hybrid)
A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Building Engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of complex building projects across a variety of market sectors while serving as a technical resource for clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and other building projects
- Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and building electrical systems
- Develop construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
- Utilize Revit, ETAP, and lighting analysis software to deliver high-quality designs
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Support construction administration, site visits, and field inspections
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall project success
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in the building consulting industry
- Active PE license required
- Strong proficiency with Revit, ETAP, and lighting design software
- Experience with power systems, generators, coordination studies, and arc flash analysis
- Thorough knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, and applicable building codes
- Strong project management, leadership, and client-facing communication skills
- LEED accreditation is a plus
Locations: Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL (Hybrid)
Travel: Occasional travel for client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities
