Senior Project Manager - Data Center Construction
Base Salary: $170,000 - $250,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits + Relocation Assistance Available
An established electrical construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical projects. This is an opportunity to oversee complex electrical construction programs, manage key client relationships, and provide leadership across all phases of project execution.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company, client, and project-specific policies and procedures
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all jobsite safety standards
- Review estimates, project proposals, contracts, and project documentation
- Establish and oversee project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and procurement strategies
- Lead project execution to ensure successful delivery against design, budget, and schedule objectives
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to align expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate activities of project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Manage procurement efforts to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Oversee project billing, cash flow, forecasting, and financial performance
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, field teams, and project stakeholders
- Assist leadership with workforce planning and future labor/material forecasting
- Provide regular project updates and performance reporting to executive leadership
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and execution strategies
- Manage RFPs, change orders, and project documentation
- Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and support staff
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required
- 10+ years of Construction Project Management experience
- 5+ years of Electrical Project Management experience supporting large-scale Data Center, Mission Critical, IT, or Telecommunications infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Data Center electrical distribution systems, structured cabling, and white space fit-outs
- Experience supporting retrofits, expansions, and upgrades within operational facilities
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new project management platforms and software
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Excellent scheduling, planning, and delegation skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Proven conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements
Preferred
- Mission Critical or Data Center construction experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
- Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, licensing, and industry experience will be considered
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar industry certification
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software, scheduling platforms, and construction management systems
