The Role
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will serve as a technical lead on a variety of projects, overseeing investigations, analyses, design recommendations, and client relationships. This individual will play a key role in mentoring junior staff, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from proposal through completion while working closely with both clients and company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations and engineering analyses for a variety of project types
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, recommendations, and design calculations
- Perform foundation, settlement, earthwork, pavement, and slope stability evaluations
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff
- Support proposal preparation and business development activities
- Coordinate field exploration programs and construction-phase services
- Ensure technical quality and successful project execution

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 8 years of geotechnical consulting experience
- Strong experience with geotechnical investigations and foundation engineering
- Proven project management and client-facing experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience mentoring junior engineers preferred
- Texas PE license or ability to obtain reciprocity preferred
