A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager to join its growing Tampa-based team. This is a key technical and client-facing role for an experienced geotechnical engineer who thrives on delivering complex infrastructure projects and mentoring junior staff.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of major geotechnical projects across the public sector. You'll work on high-impact initiatives such as:
- Everglades Restoration Programs
- I-4 Corridor Expansions
- Statewide and municipal infrastructure improvements
You will serve as a technical expert, project leader, and trusted advisor to clients, while helping shape the future of the geotechnical practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery
- Provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and risk management
- Lead client communications and maintain strong relationships
- Mentor and support the development of junior engineers
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management
- Strong technical background in site investigations, foundation design, and ground improvement
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
