Senior Project Engineer
This role is focused on supporting the technical execution of utility-scale renewable and BESS projects, serving as the primary engineering interface between internal teams, EPC contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
- Lead engineering coordination for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
- Serve as the primary technical interface between project stakeholders, EPCs, OEMs, and consultants.
- Manage engineering deliverables, technical reviews, specifications, and design documentation.
- Support RFP development, technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and procurement activities.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts across civil, structural, electrical, SCADA, interconnection, and commissioning.
- Track technical risks, schedule impacts, and engineering action items.
- Support utility coordination, permitting, compliance, and interconnection requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, testing, and project closeout.
- Oversee as-built documentation, turnover packages, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- PE License and NCEES record required.
- 12+ years of experience delivering utility-scale Solar, Wind, and/or BESS projects.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy engineering, utility coordination, substations, and interconnections.
- Experience with power system modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSSE, or PVSyst.
- Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, NFPA, and related industry standards.
- Strong communication, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
