About the Opportunity

An established engineering and consulting firm specializing in mission-critical facilities is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Construction Administration to lead the construction phase of complex data center and high-performance infrastructure projects.

This position serves as the primary point of contact throughout construction, overseeing project execution from design handoff through commissioning and closeout. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical foundation in MEP systems with the leadership skills necessary to coordinate designers, contractors, owners, and field teams in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer or construction professional looking to transition from design into project leadership, as well as for experienced construction administration professionals seeking exposure to some of the industry's most sophisticated mission-critical projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead construction administration activities from completion of design through project closeout.
  • Serve as the primary interface between ownership groups, contractors, design teams, and field personnel.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, field reports, punch lists, and project documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify risks, and support issue resolution.
  • Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, fire protection, fire alarm, and other technical disciplines.
  • Lead project meetings and provide strategic guidance on technical and execution-related matters.
  • Review contractor proposals and provide recommendations for project execution.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes throughout construction.
  • Support project financial performance, including budget management, forecasting, profitability, and change management.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships while identifying opportunities for future work.
  • Champion the use of digital tools, construction technology, data analytics, and emerging AI-driven solutions to improve project execution.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, project management, or mission-critical environments.
  • 3+ years of field or onsite construction experience.
  • Strong understanding of MEP building systems, construction processes, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical, data center, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of RFI management, submittal review, change management, QA/QC, and project closeout procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management platforms such as Procore.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to lead meetings and drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects.

Why Consider This Role?

  • Work remotely while supporting some of the most advanced mission-critical projects in the country.
  • Join a highly respected engineering and consulting organization with a strong reputation in the data center sector.
  • Influence projects throughout the construction lifecycle rather than focusing solely on design.
  • Collaborate with leading owners, contractors, and technology-driven clients.
  • Enjoy significant opportunities for career growth, leadership development, and professional advancement.

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus comprehensive benefits package, retirement match, professional development support, paid time off, and parental leave benefits.
